Scottish Opera debut

Claude Chestier studied art and worked as a landscape gardener before becoming a set and costume designer and joining Compagnie Sandrine Anglade in 2003. From 2000 to 2001 he was a Laureate at the Villa Kujoyama in Kyoto, Japan, a cultural institution run by L'lnstitut francais du Japon-Kansai.

Operatic engagements include: The Turn of the Screw (Nantes); The Love for Three Oranges (Dijon, Lirnoges Tamerlano (Lille, Bordeaux, Caen); L'italiana in Algeri (Lille,Limoges); Le petit roi du temple by Jean-Daniel Magnin based on Mozart's Bastien und Bastienne (Lille); Le medecin malgre lui (Compiegne, Dijon, Lille. Rouen, Versailles); L 'occassione fa il ladro (Strasbourg).
