Director.
Nina Brazier trained at in London, at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, at the University of Exeter, then on the Royal/Channel 4 Directors Scheme and the Operating Table Course at the Royal Opera House.
She has worked as a visiting director at the Royal College of Music, Guildhall school of Music and Drama, Italian Opera Summer School and Birkbeck University. She has also been a staff and assistant director on productions by the Royal Opera, Bavarian State Opera, ENO, WNO and Opera North.
For the Ryedale Festival she has directed The Merry Widow, The Coronation of Poppea, The Magic Flute and Alcina. Other opera productions include Young Opera Venture (The Magic Flute); Arcola Theatre (Spilt Milk, Trouble in Tahiti) and other productions for Montauban, Tête-à-Tête, Grimeborn and the Stockholm Interplay Festival.
Other projects include The Winter's Tale (Aldeburgh Music), Debussy and his Muse (Buxton Festival) and A Song of Good and Evil (seen in Stockholm, Istanbul, London, Freiburg, Berlin, Stamford, The Hague and New York).
