Catherine Jones Suggest updates

Catherine Jones studied at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama with Leah-Marian Jones, passing her performance diploma with distinction. Prior to this Catherine read music at City University, London, during which time she studied singing at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and received the Worshipful Company of Mercers' Music Prize for Outstanding Achievement.

Her operatic roles include Public Opinion Orpheus in the Underworld (Opera'r Ddraig), Virtue The Choice of Hercules (RWCMD), Cupid Venus and Adonis (Sforza), Sorceress Dido and Aeneas (Opera'r Ddraig), and Sophie The Little Sweep (Opera Anywhere).

On the concert platform Catherine has been a soloist in performances of Vivaldi's Gloria, Vivaldi's Laudate pueri dominum (Welsh Baroque Orchestra) and has performed recitals at St Mary's Cathedral, Edinburgh, Gloucester Cathedral and Merton College Chapel, Oxford (Bach Network UK).

Future engagements include The Witch Hansel and Gretel for Opera'r Ddraig. Catherine also plays the baroque viola and has played for Oxon Baroque, Les Bougies Baroques in Malta and Berlin and in Dido and Aeneas for Sforza Music.
