Andriy Yurkevych studied at the State Music Academy, Lviv, from 1996 to 2001 before training for a season at the Warsaw Opera House. He also attended master classes in Italy, with Alberto Zedda (Pesaro), Gianluigi Gelmetti (Siena) and Donato Renzetti (Pescara). In 2005 he made his debut at the Rome Opera House, conducting some ballet performances.
