Director.
Eugen Platon trained in St Petersburg at the Ostrovsky Theatre Academy. He was appointed as a director at the Chisinau National Opera in 1962, and was promoted to Principal Director in 1964. He has toured to France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Bulgaria, Romania and Russia, as well as the UK and Ireland.
The range of his productions includes Rossini (Barber of Seville), Bellini (Norma), Verdi (Rigoletto, Forza del Destino, Aïda), Puccini (Bohème, Tosca, Butterfly, Turandot), Tchaikovsky (Eugene Onegin) and Rimsky-Korsakov (Golden Cockerel).
