German bass.
Hans Sotin joined the Hamburg State Opera in 1964. His repertoire quickly included Mozart (Figaro, Sarastro), Beethoven (Don Frenando), Verdi (Sparafucile), Wagner (Dutchman, Heinrich Lohengrn), Puccini (Colline) and Strauss (Orest).
He toured with the Hamburg ensemble to New and Montreal as well as Edinburgh. For the Royal Opera Covent Garden he appeared as Hans Sachs.
