This production by Cynthia Buchan was well received and featured the Scottish Opera debut of young tenor Alfie Boe, previously seen only at Haddo.
As with most of such small scale productions, its tour covered the entire country, this time offering 21 performances. Many of the young singers who appeared in these touring productions have gone on to make good careers for themselves, but even so, Alfie Boe's achievement has been quite exceptional.
