Read more about the opera Bohemian Girl

This week in Dundee was a regular date for J W Turner's company, which was a less exalted enterprise than Turner's original home, the Carl Rosa. The repertoire was more conservative and obviously popular, with a greater reliance on native British operas.

The tour repertoire was as follows:

Dundee, w/c 28 Sep: Mon Fra Diavolo; Tue 29 Bo Girl; Wed 30 Maritana; Thu 01 Oct Martha; Fri 02 Faust; Sat 03 Lily of Killarney.

Further Scottish weeks ti be confirmed.
