This was a further collaboration between Scottish Opera, Music Theatre Wales and the Traverse. The new production of this chamber opera marked a thoroughly welcome return visit to the Traverse following the undoubted success of the first, with Alberga's Letters of a Love Betrayed in 2009. It is a little-known work based on Kafka’s powerful short story of the same name, a difficult, forbidding piece in one act.
