Scottish Opera's touch tours are now a fixed part of their schedule, and much enjoyed by those who go.
Singing and music is only part of the operatice experience. What about scenery, costiumes, lighting, direction and choreography? Audio description helps Visually Impaired Patron enjoy the opera experience with live commentarydesigned to tell the listener of the major moves and events in the performance without compromising the music. Prior to all Audio-describer performances there is also a Touch Tour of the set, costumes and props on stage.
Tickets for Audio-described performences and Touch Tours must be booked at least two weeks in advance. Please call the Box Office at your chosen venue to book. Guide dogs are welcome.
Advance information about each opera is available on CD and in large format print. To be included on Scottish Opera's free mailing list, contact Iona Jack on 0141 248 4567 is avaib
