Greyfriars Kirk hosts a sparkling Christmas concert of music, opera and carols hosted by Jamie MacDougall, BBC Radio Scotland's voice of classical music.  Doors open 7pm, tickets are £20 with children under 16 free provided they are accompanied by a paying adult.  The programme consists of Mozart, Vaughan Williams, Handel, Tchaikovsky, Verdi and many more.  The soloists are mezzo-soprano Jennifer McEwan, tenor Adam Magee, baritone Ivor Klayman, and soprano Simone Sahyouni, accompanied by the Orchestra and chorus of the Canongait conducted by their founder Robert Dick.

After the performance, stay behind to meet the performers and have drinks and nibbles.
