This group of four evenings of Italian opera allowed Edinburgh audiences to see the great Therese Tietjens in two of her most celebrated roles, Lucrezia Borgia and Norma, as well as Leonora and Lucia. The Donizetti evenings also had her singing supplementary extracts from Poliuto and Fidelio.
