Haddo House Choral and Operatic Society and the Aberdeen Sinfonietta present a programme largely of operatic excerpts, conducted by Garry Walker, with Judith Howarth (soprano).
Tchaikovsky's overture from Romeo and Juliet is followed by the 'Polovtsian Dances' from Borodin's Prince Igor.
Then from Rossini's William Tell there is to be the Overture and Villagers' Chorus; from Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana, the Intermezzo and Easter Hymn, and from Puccini's Madama Butterfly, the aria 'One Fine Day' and the 'Humming Chorus.'
In addition, there are three major opera choruses by Verdi. Running time two hours approx.
