Kingsley Lark's production of Die Fledermaus, first given in 1935, returned for a second viewing, with many of the original cast.

One newcomer was the Adele, Elsie Griffin bringing many years' experience of Gilbert & Sullivan performance with D'Oyly Carte. The Blue Danube Ballet, inserted into the second act, was 'arranged' (not choreographed) by Doola Baker, who was one of the seven dancers to appear.

The cast for Edinburgh is from a programme held by OperaScotland, that for Glasgow from one in the A M Gardiner collection (Mitchell Library).  One from Glasgow (29 March) is held in the National Library of Scotland, too. 

This was part of Carl Rosa Opera's 1937 tour. (They had missed out visiting Scotland in 1936).

A conventional repertoire was presented for a week at the King's Theatre Edinburgh, followed by two weeks at the King's Theatre Glasgow.
