Ellen Kent International returned to Scotland in the autumn of 2013, with a traditional repertoire of La bohème, Aïda and Nabucco. All but one of these performances came in later sections of the tour, in spring 2014. The single autumn event was the new production of Aïda at Glasgow's Clyde Auditorium (SECC). As usual with this company, it was "traditionally staged' i.e. the setting was basically an attempt at a representation of ancient Egypt, in terms of sets and costumes, At some venues "fire spinners" appeared in the triumph scene, taking up part of the ballet sequence - at smaller venues there was just the one spinner.
