Puccini's Tosca is the choice for this year's BP Big Screen live showings, shown free to a large open air audience in Duthie Park, Aberdeen. Direct from the Royal Opera House, the performance stars Martina Serafin as Tosca, Aleksandrs Antonenko as her lover Cavaradossi with Scott Hendricks as the evil Baron Scarpia. The performance is to be conducted by Daniel Oren.
Jonathan Kent's much-praised production is revived by director Andrew Sinclair; designs are by Paul Brown and lighting by Mark Henderson. The staging is seen to fine effect in these images by Catherine Ashmore.
Let us all hope for clear skies!
