No cast details available at present, though it is likely to have been essentially similar to that assembled for the following year's tour, which we give below, as a provisional guide.

The 'pantomime' version of the narrative was still in use, dating back to performances in 1830, adapted by Lacy, and introducing spurious un-Rossinian elements such as a Fairy Queen and glass slipper. This was later modified by Tom Robertson, a serious dramatist, but was still seen to be acceptable even in the 1891 Burns-Crotty production adapted by young Henry Wood.
