Read more about the opera Trouble in Tahiti

The intimate auditorium at Ledlanet was a surprisingly effective venue for all sorts of stage works. Two recent chamber operas from a decade before, by Bernstein and Berkeley, made an attractively enterprising combination, both in Scottish premieres. Lawrence Folley had earlier sung in the first British production of Trouble in Tahiti with the New Opera Company.
