Only a few months after its first national tour, there was no sign of any fall in popularity for The Gondoliers. Here it featured in a mixed repertoire, touring with The Mikado, The Yeomen of the Guard, and later on, Iolanthe.

During the September week there were only two performances of The Gondoliers in Aberdeen, both on the Saturday, where Dundee had three. This was due to the fact that, for the first time ever, a touring theatre company had been 'commanded' to go to the ballroom at Balmoral on Friday, to slip in an extra performance of The Mikado.
