Scottish Opera had not yet done Traviata, and wouldn't do for several years. While Sadler's Wells had brought a couple of stagings in recent years it had not been produced by a Scottish company. However the fascinating rarity on the other three evenings was a spectacular challenge for Glasgow Grand - Rossini's William Tell.
