George Edwardes had brought the English adaptation of Lehár's latest success to Daly's Theatre off Leicester Square in 1912. Only a few months later a touring company was established that made a triumphant progress round the provinces. It had reached Dundee in September 1913, and here it was, a year later, making a second visit.
