For the last twelve months, Scottish Opera has been working with University of Aberdeen undergraduate writers (Ruth Potts and James Leonard) and composers (Joe Stollery and Mark McNamee) to encourage the next generation of opera makers.
Working alongside two experienced mentors - Scottish Opera's composer in residence, Gareth Williams and director and dramaturg Matthew Richardson - the students have created two short operas. These performances - Nature's House and Solace - are premieres.
Sponsored by the Leverhulme Trust, admittance to this event is free, though a ticket is required. Running time is around one hour.
