The first tour of Oh, Kay! reached Scotland very quickly, and the quality of the music seems to have been recognised immediately. The madly nonsensical plot is entirely typical of the output of P G Wodehouse.

The lead role of Kay, created on Broadway by Gertrude Lawrence, is here taken by the highly-regarded Norah Blaney, perhaps best known to posterity for her recording of the song 'Oh, Mr Porter!', originally made famous by Marie Lloyd. The comedian Jay Laurier was also a star of music hall.

Cast details from a programme in the Edinburgh Room of Edinburgh City Library.

Further tour dates and venues to be confirmed.
