At this time, Samson and Delilah was, briefly, one of the most popular operas in the repertoire, being given by both O'Mara and Beecham in 1919, and also by Carl Rosa soon after.
This Glasgow season lasted for 2 weeks, commencing Monday, 5 May. The programme was:
First week - Mon Samson and Delilah; Tue Lily of Killarney; Wed and rest of week tbc.
Second week - Mon Figaro; Tue Trovatore; Wed Rigoletto; Thu La Wally (Scottish premiere), Fri Manon Lescaut (first time in Glasgow); Sat mat Samson and Delilah; Sat eve Bo Girl.
