As with Scottish Opera's Ring Cycle, completed a couple of years earlier, the final instalment of the Sadler's Wells production was Siegfried, which opened at the London Coliseum on 8 February 1973. Three complete cycles were given that summer, after which the Ring was taken on tour to most of the major cities, over the next few years.
