The Opera Uwrapped series is a format of presentation Scottish Opera has developed in recent years which is increasing in popularity and now gets large audiences. Many of them are convinced to buy tickets for the main performance later in the week.
The show is free and lasts about an hour, during which time a presenter introduces the work, with details of the plot and highlights of the music. Extracts are performed by the orchestra and chorus with solos taken by the singers who are understudying the main team.
Tickets are free but should be reserved by calling the box office at the venue.
