Puccini's wonderful farce was the final item in a summer term triple bill at the Academy in 1966. The evening began with another cheerful little comedy in Sir Lennox Berkeley's Dinner Engagement. The serious piece in the middle was Riders to the Sea by Vaughan Williams.
