The Scotsman (12 April) explains the afternoon performance of Carmen "had a magnificent rendering, and elicited frequent indications of warm approval. In the evening Maritana had an equally flattering reception."
The company's 1908 tour included two weeks at the Glasgow Grand, one at the Alexandra, Greenock and finally two at Edinburgh King’s Theatre.
