Weather dependent, the performance will be held in the grounds of Baldoon Castle, where Sir Walter Scott first gained his inspiration for his novel,The Bride of Lammermuir.

It is said that the ghost of Janet Dalrymple of Carscreugh haunts the ruin, in a bloodied wedding dress.  Janet was forced to marry Sir David Dunbar of Carscreugh Castle, although she had fallen in love with another man, the impoverished Archibald, 3rd Lord Rutherford.  She was either murdered on her wedding night or died of insanity shortly afterwards.

Performers are Catriona Clark (soprano), Tyler Clarke (tenor) and Douglas Nairne (baritone), Derek Clark at thr piano.
