This 1920s pantomime farce takes place at a weekend country house party. All the guests have something to hide. As secrets are exposed, the aristocratic hostess becomes increasingly unhinged. Suspecting most of her friends and relatives to represent a threat, she gradually disposes of them, supported by her family retainers. Both the ineffective local inspector and international detective fail to solve the mystery. Eventually, the hostess unravels and the game is up. This original narrative is peppered with wonderful arias and choruses from opera and musical theatre.
