The run of five performances starts in Perth, before moving on to Edinburgh, London (Wigmore Hall), the Stour Music festival and finally Market Harborough (Nevill Holt Opera).
The original, extremely intimate, 1718 version is used - prepared for performance at Cannons, the Duke of Chandos' charming country seat at Edgware.
