This venture by RSAMD is Humperdinck's remarkable 'fairytale opera'. There are only four performances, all at the New Athenaeum Theatre.
The productions and performances go from strength to strength. To call them 'student' performances leaves them open to misinterpretation. The principals are often preparing to make a full time career in opera, and are postgraduates. They can be drawn from all over the world, and are often in their mid to late twenties. Come and hear the stars of the future!
The orchestral playing is also of an admirable standard.
