Read more about the opera Lily of Killarney

Just as The Colleen Bawn, Boucicault's source play, had almost vanished from theatres, Benedict's operatic version was also less popular than previously. This was the final performance of the two week trip north of the central belt, and the only performance The Lily received, Saturday night in Aberdeen having been devoted to The Bo Girl.

Dundee critics did not review this performance, so the cast is as advertised beforehand.
