Queen's Theatre Edinburgh

According to the Theatres Trust books on British theatres, the Queen’s was one of a succession of circuses and music halls from c1820 to c1890 on the site of what is now the Festival Theatre. It appears that the editors were not aware that it was as big a building as this repertoire would suggest.

In addition to the details given in the Sonnambula review below, a description of the theatre, including capacities of various areas, appears in the Scotsman of Monday, November 22 p4.
