Duthie Park Aberdeen

This venue is used for open air screenings of various events, including opera. Owned by Aberdeen City Council, it was donated by Miss Duthie in 1880 and opened to the public in 1883. The park includes a bandstand, fountains, ponds and statues. Within the park are the Winter Gardens.

The atmospheric photographs below show a large crowd enjoying the BP Big Screen relay of Madama Buttterfly from the Royal Opera on Monday 4 July 2011. Thanks to Liz Hunter for the photos.
