William Thomas Suggest updates

Born Hemel Hempstead.

English bass.

William Thomas trained in London on the opera course at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.  In 2018 he was winner of the John Christie Award at Glyndebourne and of the Kathleen Ferrier Award.  In 2019 he won the Veronica Dunne International Singing Competition.  He was a Harewood Artist at ENO and a Jerwood Young Artist at Glyndebourne.  He is currently a BBC New Generation Artist.

Operatic appearances in UK include Glyndebourne Festival (Shepherd Pelléas et Mélisande, Nicholas Vanessa), Glyndebourne Tour (Colline), 

He has sung Snug A Midsummer Night's Dream at Rouen and Vienna State Opera and Masetto at Seattle.  Future appearances include the Royal Opera and La Scala Milan.

He represented England at the 2023 Cardiff Singer of the World competition.
