Founded by Tomas Leakey giving highly regarded performances in the Inverness area. They have been able to attract soloists of international renown who would generally only be seen in the central belt.

Sir John Tomlinson has been one of the greatest exponents of leading Wagner roles in recent decades. His link with Wagner goes back to his appearance as a student in the Scottish Opera Chorus as long ago as 1968.
