Welsh tenor.
Robert Lewis trained in London, graduating from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. From 2022-2024 he was a member of the Opéra National de Lyon Studio, singing Walther Tannhäuser, Temple Voice Hérodiade and Don Curzio Le nozze di Figaro.
Roles with the Opéra de Lyon include Andres Wozzeck, L'Abbé Andrea Chénier, Janek The Makropulos Affair, Bénédict Béatrice et Bénédict, Nick La fanciulla del West, Obadiah Elijah and Edmondo Manon Lescaut.
Elsewhere in France he has sung at Opéra de Rouen (Scaramuccio & Officer Ariadne auf Naxos, Steuermann Der fliegende Holländer); Opéra National de Lorraine (Lensky Eugene Onegin).
In Spain - Barcelona and Seville with Les Musiciens du Louvre (Alfred Die Fledermaus); Netherlands - Amsterdam (Hunchback Die Frau ohne Schatten); Japan (Tenor War Requiem).
Opera appearances in UK: ETO (Astrologer The Golden Cockerel); Buxton (Serano La donna del lago); Iford Arts (Nemorino L'elisir d'amore); Glyndebourne (First Prisoner Fidelio; Lysander A Midsummer Night's Dream).
Concerts n London include Opera Rara (Gobin La rondine) - also recorded for release in Autumn 2026.
In Scotland he sang at the 2022 Edinburgh International Festival as a member of Philharmonia Voices. First appearance with Scottish Opera in 2025 was in a concert of Tchaikovsky excerpts.
