Bernard Ross Suggest updates

Died Newcastle-upon-Tyne: 14 April 1947.


Bernard Ross spent the years between the wars working almost constantly with Carl Rosa and BNOC, then the Covent Garden company that succeeded BNOC. Generally singing short roles with them, he was later able to take on more prominent parts. Eventually he also appeared as a principal baritone with the Universal company.

His sudden death was recorded in The Stage of 18/04/47. He was taken ill on arrival at Newcastle for a visit to his wife's parents
