Dorothy Lawson-Taylor spent over a decade with the Carl Rosa company, able to perform a range of parts for a light voice, including Mozart (Barbarina, Papagena); Beethoven (Marzelline); Wagner (Shepherd Boy Tannhäuser); Puccini (Shepherd Boy Tosca). She was also able to take on some heavier roles including Mozart (Pamina) and Mascagni (Lola).
