Andrew Radley was a choral scholar while reading Music at Clare College, Cambridge. This was followed by scholarships to both the Postgraduate and Opera courses at the Royal Academy of Music. He also trained at the Paris Conservatoire on an Erasmus exchange.

In performance he has sung a number of Handel roles. Appearances at the Göttingen Handel Festival include Gandarte (Poro) and Orindo (Admeto - also at the Edinburgh Festival). With the Early Opera Company he has performed the title role in Flavio as well as Joachim in the oratorio Susanna. At Iford he was Arsamene in Serse. Medoro in Orlando has been sung at the Buxton Festival and with Scottish Opera. At Opera Theatre Ireland he played the title role in Orlando and with the Cambridge Handel Opera Group the title role in Tamerlano. He returned to Scottish Opera for an extensive tour as Bertarido in Rodelinda.

He has also sung in several of Handel's oratorios. These include First Wise Man in Belshazzar (Aix-en-Provence, Innsbruck and Berlin); Didymus in Theodora (London Handel Festival, Oslo) and Hamor in Jephtha (Copenhagen), as well as Messiah in Mainz, and Israel in Egypt in Burgundy.

Apart from Handel, his repertoire includes London appearances in the title role of Gluck's Orfeo ed Euridice at Spitalfields and the Swan in Orff's Carmina Burana at the Cadogan Hall.
