Ross McInroy studied first at the RSAMD in Glasgow, before training in London at the Royal Academy of Music and the Royal College of Music International Opera School. He then studied privately with Peter Savidge while at the National Opera Studio. In 2010 he was a member of ENO's Opera Works programme.
His operatic appearances include Collatinus at the RAM, Sarastro at the RCMIOS, Leporello with Opera della Luna, and Colline with Opera Bohemia. Having been appointed as the Robertson Scholarship Trust Scottish Opera Emerging Artist for 2011/12, he made his debut with Scottish Opera as Mars & John Styx in Orpheus in the Underworld, before singing Mendoza in Betrothal in a Monastery at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2012. Further parts with Scottish Opera include Keeper of the Madhouse, Sciarrone, and Second Armed Man.
Concert appearances include his debut at the BBC Proms with the BBC Scottish SO in 2010.
