Shuna Sendall

Scottish soprano.

Shuna Scott Sendall is a former John Mather Charitable Trust Scottish Opera Emerging Artist. She trained at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. She is a former Samling scholar. a Crear scholar. an alumnus of the Solti Te Kanawa Accademia and the winner of the inaugural BBC Radio 2 Kiri Prize.

Scottish Opera appearances are: Veronique Docteur Miracle. Gertrude Hansel and Gretei. Housekeeper The Secret Marriage. Butterfly's Aunt Madama Butterfly. Medea The Minotaur.

Other engagements include: Magdalena Die Meistersinger von Nümberg (Edinburgh Players); Cock/Jay/Innkeeper's Wife The Cunning Little Vixen (British Youth Opera); Mother/Witch Hansel and Grete/(Dorset Productions); title role Carmen (Cupar Choral); Elettra Idomeneo. Concepcion L'heure espagnole, La Ciesca Gianni Schicchi. Mrs Green Down by the Greenwood Side (RSAMD); chorus Der Rosenkavalier (Glyndebourne Festival Chorus).

In 2013, she gave the world prerniere of Sally Beamish's Flodden with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and in 2014 performed the same composer's choral piece Equal Voices with both the London Symphony Orchestra and Royal Scottish National Orchestra.
