Sarah-Jane Davies Suggest updates

Welsh soprano.

Sarah-Jane Davies studied in London at the Royal College of Music, gaining a number of awards, and trained under Lillian Watson.

At the RCM her roles included Pamina and Miss Jessel. With British Youth Opera she sang Countess Almaviva. She appeared at two Edinburgh Festivals, in concert performances of Elektra and Dido and Aeneas. Joining the ENO Young Singers Programme, her parts included Mozart (Pamina, First Lady, Countess, Servilia); Handel (Romilda Xerxes, Angel Jephtha) and Massenet (Crobyle Thaïs). At Garsington she also sang Mozart (Countess, Fiordiligi), repeating Fiordiligi with Opera Holland Park. In 2012 she toured with ETO as Tatyana.

She later turned to administration, working with Scottish Opera as Head of Casting.
