Betty Thompaon was a leading soloist with the Carl Rosa company for several years in the nineteen-thirties. Her repertoire ranged through Wallace (Lazarillo); Verdi (Maddalena), Gounod (Siébel); Bizet (Carmen); J Strauss (Orlofsky, Czipra) and Puccini (Suzuki).
