Baritone.
From Perth. Alister studied violin, piano and singing at the RSAM in Glasgow, wining prizes i harmony and counterpoint. He qualified as a teacher and became principal teacher of music at Blairgowrie High School. Throughout his career he has beeninvolved with church music, mainly with St Ninian's Cathedral choir, although he's sung in every Scottish Episcopal cathedral!
Tours with various choirs took him to venues throughout the UK, and to France, germany, Malta and the USA. In 2009 he made his debut in grand opera, singing the role of Schaunard (La bohème) and in 2011 he sang Baron Scarpia (Tosca) following it with Germont in (La traviata.).
