If the opening concert of a new Director's first Festival can be interpreted as giving any hint of how he intends to run things, then this evening gave a good indication of what Brian McMaster would attempt and achieve over the next fifteen years. A packed Usher Hall completely absorbed in events and a native Scottish orchestra being exposed to something they would not normally come across.
