The countless admirers of Cav & Pag in Glasgow this year had the choice of hearing them in English (with the Carl Rosa company), or, as here, in Italian. Like Anna di Stasio, Lola in the Cavalleria cast, baritone Augusto Frati would return to Scotland as a member of the Edinburgh Festival companies from Naples (1963) and Florence (1969).
