Scottish Opera's company of Opera For All, launched in September 1966, resumed its tour after a break covering the festive season. As before, the operas were Cinderella, Così fan tutte and Madama Butterfly. The Puccini had been a mainstay of the main company, though they had not yet attempted any Rossini work, but would do a full staging at the end of 1969. Così was, of course, to enter the main repertoire a few weeks later, being launched in the spring 1967 season at Perth.
The itinerary of this nine-date run of Così was as follows: 24 Jan (Lincoln), 31 Jan (Grimsby), 11 Feb (Saltburn), 15 Feb (Skipton), 25 Feb (Uppermill), 1 Mar (Ilkley), 4 Mar (Worsley), 8 Mar (Clitheroe), 14 Mar (Bradford).
Further tour dates included a three-day visit to the old Pitlochry Festival Theatre, culminating in a performance of Così on 18 June.
Details of tour and cast are from the Richard Telfer archive in Scottish Opera's collection.
