As with Albert Herring and Turn of the Screw, Scottish Opera was able to keep the nucleus of its Dream team together over many seasons. Here they are joined by Shirley Chapman, from Sadler's Wells, in a rare appearance with the company. Puck was a role exploited by young actors on the threshold of notable careers, so Tim Curry was now succeeded by Jonathan Hyde, who was working at the Citz before joining the RSC.
